23 Oct [OPEN FOR CONSIGNMENT] Malaysia Fine Watches Auction 2019
Malaysia Fine Watch Auction 2019. Supporting the call for “Visit Malaysia 2020”

Watches Auction in Asia countries like China Hong Kong, Thailand and Singapore are nothing new and it represents the advance social and community development of a nation. However, Malaysia is lacking of one.
We have seen many Malaysian watch enthusiasts participating and investing in such events in our neighbouring countries, causing capital outflow while local affluent and collector’s community are not benefited. We strongly believe that Kuala Lumpur as one of the influential capital city of Asia should have its very own signature watch auction event, as such, MNP Auctioneers has decided to join force with the top industry elite to organize its inaugural 10.10 Malaysia Fine Watches Auction in December 12, 2019
Starting off in Capital of Malaysia,
On 10 Oct 19, MNP Auctioneers, one of Malaysia’s leading auction house, together with Mr Zentrix Chiu, director of World of Watches 2 and Mr WinSon Loh, Curator & Founder of Pink Guy, “Malaysia’s Most Revolutionary Curator & Frame-Maker” shall kick off an exciting partnership to launch the valuation and consignment process of timepieces for Malaysia Fine Watch Auction 2019 in Kuala Lumpur. This special annual auction shall begin its inaugural debut with 100 pieces of interesting timepieces during the 12 Dec 2019 at The Pearl Kuala Lumpur.
Growing Global demand for Used Watches reaches USD 6.8 billion per year,
Accordingly to the Trends report 2018 published by Foundation De La Hatue Horlogene, the annual growth of this market segment is growing at a healthy rate of 5% per year. This impressive growth rate didn’t go unnoticed, causing established luxury brands like Audemars Piguet, Richard Mille and Richemont Group with their latest acquisition of Watch Finder to explore building an early presence in the used watch market. This unprecedented shift by brand owners further cement the unstoppable shifting mindset towards used timepieces among the watch community.
Serving as Catalyst for local used watch market,
Even though Malaysia is one of the top shopping destination for timepieces among tourists as it is located in the heart of South East Asia, the used watch market remains relatively fragmented and weak in comparison with the brand new segment. While the inaugural Malaysia Fine Watch Auction might not be as established as leading established International auction houses like Sotheby, Christie or Bonhams, the auction hopes to acts as a catalyst on the used watch segment through offering this form of platform to answer the market’s scarcity of such activities with the support and endorsement from Malaysia Watch Group, a fast rising popular group of watch enthusiasts.
Consignment Process,
The entire consignment process, which is opened to the general public shall start from 11 Oct 19 and ends on 11th Nov 2019 or once 100 lots (timepieces) are consigned. Interested parties can arrange for the consignment appointment through +6011-1112 1100 or +6017-400 6661. All successful consigned timepieces shall be made available for viewing at World of Watches 2, Lot 10 shopping mall at Bukit Bintang from 1st Nov 2019 onwards.
